1972 praesentierte Heuer eine neues Modell namens "Calculator". Damit hatte man die Moeglichkeit verschiedene mathematische Operationen durchzufuehren.
Auf dem tonneaufoermigen Gehaeuse befinden sich zwei Ringe, von denen der innere fix ist und der aeußere drehbar ist.
Das Zifferblatt ist tiefblau und besitzt einen 30-Minuten und einen 12-Stunden Stopper. Datum befindet sich bei der "6" - Zeiger in Schwertform mit Tritium-Leuchtmasse.
Mit dem Cal.12 wurde das erste automatische Chronographenkaliber verbaut - entwickelt in Zusammenarbeit von Heuer, Breitling, Hamilton & Buren.

In 1972 Heuer presented a new model with a mathematical name of 'Calculator'. With the Heuer Calculator the consumer had a clever mathematical instrument at hand which allowed for the calculation of difficult mathematical operations with just a few clicks of the watch.

This Heuer Calculator Automatic chronograph is in a stainless steel square/tonneau case. The two calculating circles consist of a fixed inner scale and rotating outer ring. The deep blue dial has 12 hour and 30 minute subdials. The date is at 6 o'clock and it has luminous baton hour markers. The movement is a calibre 12, originally designed in collaboration by Heuer, Breitling, Hamilton and Buren. It was the first automatic chronograph designed.
